Dil Besabar is about two kids who meet in school and like each other from the very beginning, but never say it out loud. They sit on the same benches, grow up side by side, and still carry everything quietly. Before they can ever confess, primary school ends. They move to different high schools, lose touch, and life takes over. What’s special is the waiting. The boy never really moves on. Years pass, almost a decade, and even without realizing it, both keep checking in on each other from a distance. No messages, no calls, no courage. Just feeling.
Then, completely unexpectedly, they meet again at a Diwali party after four years. Neither of them knew the other would be there. One look, and everything comes rushing back—the classroom, the benches, the awkward smiles. Two fourth-graders standing there as grown adults, with the same spark still alive.As if that wasn’t enough, they soon find out they’re moving to the same city for college. Same place, same timing. Pure serendipity. Three months after that night, they finally decide to say what they’ve held in for so long, before life gets in the way again.
They move to Mumbai and begin a life together. The twist is that the girl is a budding lyricist, and she chooses to capture this entire, patient, unexpected journey in a song, 'Dil Besabar'.
